Who is it for:

Health professionals and all service based industry organizations (educators, public service, social services) who are seeking to provide quality programs in mindfulness.  Continuing education (CE) credits can be offered from the contracting organization supporting workforce requirements.

Professional Education (CE Courses)

Mindfulness for Stress Reduction in the Workplace:

This customized professional education activity will provide attendees with specific knowledge on the biological and psychological impacts of stress and how stress can affect health, wellness and productive work environments. This course is ideal for health care professionals’ who are interested in improving their ability to provide caring and healing environments at work. Available for 1 or 2 hour programs.

Healing the Healers (program of self-care through mindfulness)

This 16-hour educational and experiential curriculum concentrates on the use of self-care tools such as mindfulness meditation, relaxation training and reflective journaling. Didactic segments focus on understanding the underlying mechanisms of burnout, empathic distress, and compassion fatigue.
Burnout/compassion fatigue is a psychosocial condition with emotional, physical, mental, spiritual and social constructs. Due to its multi-faceted expression in health professionals, these conditions require a holistic, mind-body-spirit approach to help alleviate the condition. The program is unique in its format and content yet draws on the models and methods of two seminal mind-body programs: Mindfulnesss-Based Stress Reduction and Mind-Body Skills Groups.

The program was designed to be provided as a 1 or 2 day retreat, but may also be offered in a 1-day workshop or as a series of weekly 2-hour sessions over 4-8 weeks.
